Introduction to Studio Photography

This informal class is ideal for the novice or experienced photographer who want to learn about studio photography.  The class is based in a full photographic studio environment  with four strobe heads with modelling lights, soft box, octabox and various backdrops. The half day workshops give you chance to find out about photographing in studios and gives you a chance to be hands on with photography.  A model will be present so you get the full experience of how a photo studio works.

The classes are limited to a maximum of 4 people to ensure you get the most out of the day.  You can bring your own camera or borrow one, the lights are triggered from a hot shoe attachment (the bit where an external flash attaches to your camera) so if your bringing your own camera it will need one of these.

The introduction to Studio Photography covers the following;

Setting up the Studio

Camera set up.

Softbox and Octabox lighting

Rembrandt Lighting (classic studio light)

Working with hard light and Soft Light

Key Lights

1, 2, 3 and 4 studio light set up
